COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE FOR PERIOD & PELVIC PAIN

community acupuncture
in the Illawarra

45-60min sessions | $45

You shouldn’t have to organise your life around your period. But…

  • If your period takes you out for a day (or three)…

  • If sex is painful…

  • If you’ve been told ‘everything looks normal’ but it doesn’t feel normal

This is for you.

This is a monthly community acupuncture clinic for people dealing with period pain, pelvic pain, and endometriosis — without the $$$ price tag or the feeling of being rushed in and out.

You’ll come in, lie down in a calm shared space, and just… stop.

Acupuncture here is used to reduce pain*, regulate your cycle, and calm the constant ‘on edge’ feeling in your body (Western) — while moving Qi and Blood, easing pelvic stagnation, and supporting smoother flow month to month (TCM). **

Because when your body isn’t stuck in survival mode, things start to shift.

FAQs

+ How is this different to a regular 1:1 acupuncture treatment?

In a nutshell, community acupuncture is simpler, shorter, and more accessible.

In this community setting, you’ll receive acupuncture in a shared, calm space alongside others. Treatments are still individualised, but they’re simplified and focused — using acupuncture alone to support pain, regulate your cycle, and settle your nervous system.

1:1 sessions are more in-depth and fully tailored — looking at the bigger picture and offering more comprehensive support (Western + TCM). 1:1 sessions also encompass all of TCM (Chinese herbs and supplemental care, moxa, cupping, lifestyle advice, pathology etc).

+ Will I get the same results as a private session?

You’ll absolutely get benefit from community acupuncture — especially with regular treatments. For many people, this is enough to:

  • reduce pain
  • improve cycle regularity
  • feel more regulated and supported

But if your symptoms are more complex (like chronic endometriosis, long-standing hormonal issues, or burnout), or you’re wanting deeper, faster, or more targeted results, 1:1 care is usually where that happens.

Acupuncture works best when it’s consistent — and community sessions give you a way to stay on top of symptoms, support your body between flare-ups & access care without the higher price point. Community acupuncture makes ongoing care doable.

+ Can I move between community and 1:1 sessions?

Absolutely — and many people find this is the sweet spot.

Some use 1:1 sessions to get things moving, then maintain with community acupuncture. Others stick with community for regular support, and book 1:1 when symptoms flare or they want deeper, personalised care.

Community sessions focus on what works best in a shared space, providing consistent, supportive treatment. While 1:1 sessions allow for deeper investigation, tailored strategies, and broader support.

I see patients for everything from stress, anxiety, and insomnia, to fertility, digestive issues, and pain. Whatever stage of health you’re at — acute, chronic, preventative, or somewhere in between — I’m here to support you.

+ Can I have treatments while I'm on my period?

Absolutely! In fact, acupuncture during your period may ease cramps, reduce tension, and calm your body.

It’s not just about managing that bleed week either — treatments are tailored to your cycle, supporting hormone balance, blood flow, and energy so each phase of your cycle can run more smoothly.

+ Can I claim these treatments through my private health fund?

Yep — you sure can claim. You take the receipt with your provider number, your fund does the rest.
